We ❤️ Our Volunteers!!

Volunteer Roles | Field Clean Up/Set Up | Snack Shack

Branham Hills Little League operates entirely through volunteer efforts.

Every family is responsible for volunteering during the season. Volunteers help make our league run smoothly and foster a sense of community while positively impacting children’s lives. Volunteers help create a supportive environment where kids can develop teamwork, discipline, and confidence through sports by dedicating time and skills. They also allow adults to model good sportsmanship and leadership, leaving a lasting impression on young athletes.

Volunteer FAQ’S

How much time should I expect to volunteer per season?
While we do not set time expectations for volunteering, EVERY family is expected to do their part to take on equitable volunteer roles throughout the season. Minimally, each family should be helping with field set up/clean up before/after games, dug out supervision (microT, T-Ball, A, AA), Scorekeeping (AAA, Majors), and 3 Snack Shack shifts.

Why do I need to volunteer?
Little Leagues operate entirely through volunteers. From coaching to field set up to snack shack … everyone you see on our fields is a volunteer who helps run this organization. Without volunteers, there would be no Branham Hills. Everyone is expected to do their part.

How do I sign up for volunteer positions?
Team Parents will communicate with the families regarding the volunteer expectations and openings for the season. Most teams use the TeamSnap app for sign-ups and assignments for volunteer roles. Volunteer minutes will also be tracked throughout the season.

Can I volunteer for another family?
Yes  - If you would like to take on a volunteer shift for another family, that is fine (and appreciated). Please communicate that with your Team Parent so we can track the volunteer times appropriately.

Can anyone in my family volunteer?
Yes (and no). Branham Hills is a family and community-friendly league! Have an uncle who’s coming to watch the game and wants to help with the field setup? GREAT!
Note that only adults can work the snack shack grill shift, and only 2 teens are allowed to work in the snack shack for an individual shift.

What if I need a teen to cover my snack shack shift?
Please communicate with your Team Parent that you want a teen to cover your shift as soon as possible. Only 2 teens are permitted to be in the snack shack per shift, and teens cannot work the grill. Teens will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Please use this form to request a teen for our shift as soon as possible to ensure one is available. The cost to use a teen to cover your shift is $40.
